Before submitting

To the Journal of Aceh Studies, please ensure your paper adheres strictly to our Author Guidelines and Publication Ethics. Manuscripts must be uploaded under "Article Text/Manuscript (submission stage)". If revisions are required after peer review, authors must submit both the "Revised Manuscript (revision stage)" and the "Response Letter (revision stage)". First-time OJS 3 users can refer to our Author Tutorial for assistance. Please note that accepted articles are subject to an Article Processing Charge (APC).

New authors should click the "Register" link in the top menu to create an account. If you have already received a user ID and password from us via email, please do not create a new account. Simply log in using your existing credentials and select the "Author" role.

Authors are advised to carefully review our Author Guidelines before preparing their manuscripts. To submit your paper, please log in to the platform as an "Author", complete the submission form, and monitor the review status of your manuscript directly through the system.

Returning authors should log in using their existing username and password as an "Author" to submit a new manuscript or track current submissions. Please do not register for a new account, as doing so will prevent you from tracking your active manuscripts.

Peer reviewers are requested to log in as a "Reviewer" to access and download assigned manuscripts. Upon receiving a review invitation, please click "Accept" or "Decline" as promptly as possible to confirm your participation. You can submit your evaluation comments for the editors and authors and track your review history directly through your reviewer dashboard.

To update your password, log in to your account and select "Change My Password" under the "My Account" section. If you have forgotten your password, click "Forgot your password?" on the login page to reset it.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All authors must ensure their manuscript meets the following core criteria before completing their submission to the Journal of Aceh Studies:

  • Originality & Prior Publication: The manuscript is an original work that has not been previously published and is not currently under consideration by any other journal.

  • Human Authorship: The manuscript represents the original work of the authors and was not generated by artificial intelligence (AI) tools.

  • Ethical Compliance: The text is strictly free of plagiarism and adheres to all journal publication ethics guidelines.

  • Author Contributions: All listed authors have made significant intellectual contributions to the research and manuscript preparation.

  • Language Quality: The manuscript is written in clear, grammatically correct scientific English.

  • Formatting & Style: The submission complies fully with the stylistic, formatting, and bibliographic standards detailed in the Author Guidelines.

  • Publication Fees: The authors acknowledge that accepted articles are subject to an Article Processing Charge (APC).
