Publication Procedure

The Journal of Quixotic Narrative and Critical Review follows a transparent and rigorous publication process to ensure the quality and integrity of all published work. Below is a step-by-step overview of the procedure:

1. Manuscript Submission

Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system. Submissions must comply with the journal’s formatting and ethical guidelines.

2. Initial Editorial Screening

The editorial team conducts a preliminary review to assess:

  • Relevance to the journal’s scope
  • Compliance with formatting and ethical standards
  • Originality and clarity

Manuscripts that do not meet basic criteria may be desk-rejected.

3. Peer Review Process

Eligible manuscripts are sent for double-blind peer review to at least two independent reviewers. The review process typically takes 4–6 weeks.

4. Editorial Decision

Based on reviewer feedback, the editor makes one of the following decisions:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Reject

Authors are notified of the decision along with reviewer comments.

5. Revision and Resubmission

Authors revise their manuscripts according to reviewer feedback and resubmit within the specified timeframe. Revised manuscripts may undergo a second round of review.

6. Final Acceptance

Once the manuscript meets all academic and editorial standards, it is formally accepted for publication.

7. Copyediting and Proofreading

The accepted manuscript undergoes professional copyediting and proofreading. Authors may be asked to review and approve the final proofs.

8. Publication

The final version is published online with a DOI and made freely accessible under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).

9. Indexing and Archiving

Published articles are indexed in scholarly databases and archived in digital repositories to ensure long-term accessibility.
