The Journal of Quixotic Narrative and Critical Review is an open-access journal that operates on a non-profit basis. To support the costs of web maintenance, editorial operations, and digital archiving, a modest Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied—but only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication.

APC Policy

• Free of Charge (USD 0.00) for:

  1. Articles written in collaboration between authors affiliated with institutions in different countries (e.g., an Indonesian first author and a Swedish co-author).
  2. Articles submitted by international authors (i.e., authors not affiliated with Indonesian institutions).

• Symbolic APC of USD 10.00 applies to:

  • Articles authored solely by Indonesian-affiliated authors.

Note: There is no submission fee. APCs are only charged after a manuscript has successfully passed peer review and is formally accepted for publication.

Payment Instructions

• Indonesian authors must pay via bank transfer.
• International authors (if applicable) may pay via PayPal.

Important: Indonesian authors must not use PayPal for payments. If PayPal is used by Indonesian authors, the APC will be adjusted to match the international rate (USD 0.00 + PayPal fees), due to additional charges incurred by the journal.

Waiver Policy

We are committed to ensuring that publication fees do not become a barrier to sharing valuable research. Authors who are unable to pay the APC may request a full or partial waiver. To request a waiver, please include a brief justification in the “Comments to the Editor” section during submission. Waiver requests will not affect editorial decisions.

All published articles are freely accessible to readers worldwide without subscription or access fees. The journal does not charge readers or institutions for access, ensuring that all content is fully open and discoverable.
