Archiving Policy
The Journal of Quixotic Narrative and Critical Review is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content. To ensure the continued availability of all articles, the journal implements the following archiving strategies:
1. Digital Archiving
All published articles are digitally archived and preserved through the following mechanisms:
- LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe): The journal participates in the LOCKSS program, which allows libraries to preserve selected web content by regularly collecting, caching, and restoring it when necessary.
- CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS): Content is also preserved in the CLOCKSS archive, a community-governed archive that ensures long-term access to scholarly content in the event of journal discontinuation.
- Institutional Repositories: Authors are encouraged to deposit their published articles in institutional or subject-specific repositories, in accordance with the journal’s open access policy.
2. Self-Archiving by Authors
Authors are permitted and encouraged to archive the final published version of their articles in:
- Institutional repositories
- Personal websites
- Preprint servers
- Research-sharing platforms (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu)
Proper citation to the original publication in this journal must be included in all archived versions.
3. Metadata Preservation
The journal ensures that all article metadata (including DOI, title, authorship, abstract, and keywords) is preserved and accessible through indexing services and digital repositories.
